Prices have risen for Greensburg customers this winter. And while natural gas prices have been lower than last winter, they’re trending up. And electricity prices will likely follow. Shop these four great 12 month fixed rate electric plans that’ll save you money all year long!
Shop the Lowest Priced Electric Plans
The West Penn PTC rate is 10.001 cents per kWh and ends on May 31, 2024. Assuming an average monthly electricity usage is 854 kWh, that means the PTC cost is about $85.40 per month. We can do much better than that!
First let’s look at our cheapest plan, from Public Power. Their Electric 12 Month Standard Fixed Rate is only 7.39 cents per kWh. And so you could save a whopping $23 a month. That’s $276 in a year!

Our next plan comes from our #4 rated electricity provider. The APG&E TrueSimple 12 is only 8.59 cents per kWh. So you could save $12 a month ($144 for the year) compared to the current West Penn rate. This plan does come with a $1.99 monthly charge and a $150 early termination fee. APG&E also notifies you when your contract is about expire. So watch for the two notices.
This last plan comes from our #1 Electricity Provider. The Constellation 12 Month Home Power Plan is only 8.79 cents per kWh. So you could save nearly $10 a month, or $120 in a year!
