Love the rates, rewards, emails that tell me how much electricity I have used this week, etc. I was with TXU and I cut my bill in half. Not to mention TXU never gave me a thing for being a long time customer. Bounce energy actually seems to care about you as a customer and I've never even spoken to anyone there. Highly recommended. ”

I have fixed rate yet still I am was charged $90+ dollars on my 135 per month. I called and I must be stupid because I still dont get it.Where did this penalty charge come from???

“ Having been a TXU customer for 15+ years I was very hesitant to change providers. When my 2 year contact was up I received a letter from TXU stating that my contract was expiring. My new rate was ridiculously high (they did say to call or log on for offers, but, why not just offer a competitive plan to me in the letter?). So, I checked this website and could not believe Bounce's rates (and no monthly fee with a certain amount of usage). Then I saw that I could even get American Airlines miles - that sweetened the deal. When I compared bounce's rates to TXU there was no comparison - Bounce beat TXU on every level. During the past 2 months I have saved over $150+ vs. what I would have paid with TXU. I wish I had changed earlier as it's the same electricity coming into my home. Do the research and save big money. ”
“ I just signed up for bounce energy and it was seamless. I was able to get a great rate on Green energy, far better than my friends who are faithful TXU customers for a decade get on their "spacial rate". They also have a great rewards program.If you use a refer a friend code than you get $50 off your bill and so does your friend. Enjoy! ”
“ I was with Champion Energy for a while. Honestly, I didn't have any issues with them but my brother and several friends told me I should look into Bounce. I didn't really care at first, but I finally did and I am glad I did. Here's why I like Bounce: 1) My rate is about the same as it was before, but now I get cash back when i pay my bill because they offer rewards like that.2) My brother gave me his code so I could get a bill credit when I switched. That was cool. Nice refer a friend program.3) They an iphone app so I can pay my bill from my phone (i can't access internet from work). ”

“ Avoid this electric provider they do not accept payment through bill pay eft transfers ,unlike StarTex and Reliant.Customer service via phone doesn't exist. They are very thorough with the follow up calls and harassing email .. Letters if you are coming upon your due date by 2 days. After 2 months of failed electroninc processing we opted to mail and the check mailed 8 days prior to due date arrives from Dallas to Houston in 9 days????? Strange that my sister in North Carolina receives her Mail within 3 ??? Stay away from this company,unless you appreciate harrasment!!!!!!! ”
“ Had my electricity cut off today AFTER my bill was paid. Granted, my payment was late - ONE DAY. I'm 6 mos pregnant and had a very busy month of travel - both my husband & I thought the other had paid the bill. We received a call warning us of our energy being shutoff and IMMEDIATELY paid online. I received a confirmation email but what do you know? I wake up this morning and everything is off. We live in South Texas. It's JULY - you can KILL someone by turning off the electricity! I don't know another company that would shut off service for one day late payment - and after the payment had posted, at that! Have had to take time out of my work schedule today to be on hold with this company to make sure my service got turned back on... NOT renewing my contract. Ridiculous. ”
“ Love bounce energy. I switched from TXU to bounce in Spring of 2011, went from 10.5 to 8.8 cents/kilowatt. I went from a July bill of 210 (the summer of the hottest summer ever) to 160 in August. All in a 1311 sq foot house at 100 + weather for days on end. I was impressed. Billing - if I had to say anything, it would be their automatic payment system. It's not a set day or even in a range of a day or two, it can be anywhere from 7 days prior to the due date to 7 days after. So, with that, I paid twice in one month (once for the previous month and once for the current). For someone on a budget, it can be difficult. But, I went to paying online manually and it's been much more easier to plan, I pay it myself, online, in 1 minute -done.Customer Service - is great. I dont sit through hit 1 5 or 7 for this that or the other. Its a few minutes of waiting (5 minutes or less) and I get a REAL person to talk to. They have always been friendly and very helpful.We moved homes and took them with us to our new house, easy move, and they lowered are rate to 5.5 cents/killowatt.It's been great.I recommend them to everyone. ”
“ After having to pay late fees for not receiving our banking debit in time we opted to mail the check only later noticed that we where still being billed late fees after mailing the paper check in sufficient time. Any promos that they offer you will have to fight them for . Customer. Service is non existent save yourself time money and despair .This company rates poorly. ”
“ I am writing this based only on my my experience signing up for Bounce Energy. The enrollment process was easy. It only took a few minutes to complete online. When setting up a start date, Bounce wanted to charge $50 to start the service right away. You have to wait 3 business days to waive the charge. I waited.I tried calling them the day before service was to start in order to confirm that I would have power the next day. I was on hold for over 45 min then got cut off. I called again and was on hold for over 30 min, but had to hang up to get some work done. I called again at lunch and waited for 45 min and got cut off. Most people have to work and can't waste 2 hours on the phone with the utility company.On the day service was supposed to start, there was no power. After 2 more attempts at reaching Customer Service (with similar hold times) I tried calling as a new customer. Lo and behold I got a hold of someone right away. When I asked when my service would start, I was told anytime between 7am and 11pm. ”
“ We had nightmares with Bounce. We would send our payment WAAAY ahead of time, but it would take them a week or more to post our payment. Then we got charged late fees. What's up with that? I wasn't the one late. You guys were! Get with the program folks. I would never use them again. ”

“ We switched from TXU to Bounce Energy a year ago. It was the best decision we've ever made! I did a lot of research before choosing Bounce and they were the best company in terms of rates, payment options, and plans. Customer service is prompt, friendly and all speak English. Their website is easy to navigate and simple to use to make payments online. They even have a phone app that allows you to check your account and pay your bill! We have saved so much money since switching from TXU, we wished we had changed companies sooner.Sidenote - I suspect people that are leaving negative comments about Bounce are people that probably don't pay their bills on time and/or have poor payment histories with other electric companies. ”
“ I like the price of Bounce Energy but worry they have Enron like executives. I pay my bill from an on-line bank the day I am notified a payment is due and days before the mailed bill arrives. However two months in a row, and three times in total, my check has supposidly not arrived and unless I phoned in a credit card payment, I would have had late fees. As they do not accept electronic transfer from most banks, there is no proof when a payment is received. As every other payment from my bank goes through, I think they lose or delay checks to collect late fees. ”

They will surely make you wait at least 20 minutes,
and the representatives will be rude to you and even
not competent (everybody talks differently every time
and makes you confused) They will try to cheat you
with hidden fees. You must beware of the second
month's charge since they may change a huge amount
from the first month. And their representatives will
not make any effort to adjust anything for you. Oh, I
was about to forget one thing more. If the calls are
hung up while your talking with them, they will NEVER
call you back(even though they tell you they will),
and you must wait whole another 20+ minutes. The
quality of calls is a nightmare, too. I bet you won't
want to choose them. Such a horrible, horrible,
horrible experience, ever! ”
“ Do not use bounce. Bill are sent late and less then 10 days to pay, so you never pay on time so much for the rewards. I had been with bounce for 3 years, now I purchase a new house, and wanted electric turned by them on 1/27; I went online to transfer svc on 1/25 they want to charge $75, same if I wanted to move on 1/26. no one would waive the fee or reduce the fee or credit back my account, so I went with whom the JD Powers pick, so Bounce lost a customer over $75.00 - my new electric company charged $11.95 for express svc; I wouldhave given more notice to bounce, however with all the trouble I had with my bank, and it taking them 2 months for our home loan, I was not able to. I talked to 3 people and a supervisor at bounce, all over $75.00. Customer Care rep's are rude, and do nothing for you. ”
