Too new to evaluate
We moved to PA from FL last year, are unfamiliar with gas heat and this billing system. However, we quickly realized we should compare supplier prices, saw your price/terms and decided to switch because you offered a reasonable price and terms. Since we've only received 2 bills, it's tough to evaluate but so far you've been very responsive and helpful to us. |

Rebate Process is Bad
They offer a $100 rebate for the plan I selected, $50 after the first month. They require you to mail the rebate form to them. I had to call to make they received the form. They did receive it but it took almost 2 more months to receive my rebate and they couldn't provide any information on the rebate status when I called several times. Come on Major, make the rebate process easier and electronic. I cancelled after receiving the first $50 rebate. Too much of a hassle. |

Looking to screw you!
Rates aren't much better than PPLs, but with the offered rebates they are less. Problem is rebate process is a huge hassle. Mailing is obsolete, but the only option they offer in order to request a rebate, as opposed to offering the ability to request online, or just paying when you meet the criteria. They claimed my rebate was never received from USPS and now w/o t pay the rebate since if changed suppliers. Avoid these butthats. |

Would not use again
I own three properties which I changed my supplier online for all three properties to Major Energy on the same day. Instead of having the same start date they were all different, spanning over two months. I never received my rebate as promised even though I sent in an application for one of my properties. I eventually switched two of the properties to a different supplier, but because I was 15 days over my contracted date on the one property they charged me more then double, because it was billed as their variable rate. It cost me more for the 15 days with Major Energy then it cost my new supplier, AEP for a month. I called them they did not offer to change the last 15 days to my original contracted rate or want to work something out with me. So I switched over my last property I had with them back to ppl. Despite not receiving my rebates, I wish the company would have worked with me on the price gauging with my last bill. I wouldn't recommend them in the future. |

Deceptive
The person who represented Major Energy was a fast talking who made you feel that you were getting a great deal. The telephone numbers and names didn't match. Joshu stated he would give a me his managers number, but he answered the phone. What do you get out of deceiving people? I went to cancel, and I was informed it would cost me $100. but he would waive the cancelation fee. I haven't been an hour. Then overhearing others mention another name (outsourcing) |

Major Energy Scam
We recently moved into PA and are new to shopping for energy suppliers. My wife and I got a knock on the door around 6pm from two gentlemen saying they were part of UGI saying they were from Major Energy. I told them numerous times I was interested nor did I know what it was, when I walked away and my wife tried talking with them. They kept pressuring her and refusing to leave until she finally caved in and signed up not really knowing what it was. After doing research that night I saw all the scam reviews and lawsuits involving Major Energy. We finally got them to cancel before service started but they already had gave our information to another HVAC warranty company and signed us up for it called Cinch Home Services. DO NOT GET SCAMMED BY THESE PEOPLE! |

This is a Scam company
This energy supplier is a total scam. I am receiving multiple calls--almost on a daily basis--from telemarketers trying to get me to switch to Major Energy. It is the same telemarketing company. Yet they keep calling even though I told them I am not interested. They refuse to take my name off of their call list. I have already told my current energy supplier not to send out my information to these third-part telemarking companies. Each call is exactly the same: "You have been overcharged on your electric. Press 1 to receive your $50 dollar rebate check." Even the people who work there are starting to recognize me. I know them by name: Alex & Jack, Simon, Adam, Ben, Ricky, Steve Harvey ... PLEASE MAKE IT STOP! |
