Have Confidence!
It's very arduous for the electricity consumer to browse and compare...make a decision. It's like reaching into the darkness. So, let me invite consumers to check out NextEra. I think you'll like the experience and the service. |

They mess up and you are out of luck DO NOT TRUST
I signed up with Nextera on 21 April 2023 for a start date of 09 May 2023, Long story short they messed up the account #. I informed them that day of the account # they sdaid the would fix it and Keera" informed me what is on my bill from my electric company does not matter, they go by what they have. After numerous calls to them and finding out it had not cleared as of 09 May 2023 they finally straighten it out and now inform me that it will not start until 15 May 2023. The 'Supervisor" Lori gets testy with me when I said they messed up and states "well it is fixed now". I will be looking at other providers now. Do not trust them. |

Scam company
My story is the same as many others. Been charged more than double since 2015 after never signing a single document wanting their services. It's now 2023 and we have finally discovered why our bill have been through the roof. It's insane that these people can sleep at night offering nothing special except for drained bank acts from unsuspecting victims. |

Company does not honor promises
Received a notice indicating prices would jump to default rate in 30 days. Switched carriers prior to the expiration and therefore expected no issues with rate. Received next PPL bill and noticed supplier had prematurely pushed rates to default rate. Customer service representative indicated, that adjustment would take some time, but would be reflected in a future bill. 2 months later, no adjustment and company is pretending like the conversation never happened. Do not trust this supplier. |

NEXTera does not honor their contract
I have the original contract with NEXTera Energy dated September 9, 2021 that clearly states my rate of $0.070 per kWh will start 09/12/2021 and will run for 12 months. However, in a letter dated May 30, 2022, NEXTera informed me my rate would be ending effective July 14, 2022 - which is nearly 2 full months earlier than the terms in their contract. I contacted customer service on June 8, 2022 after receiving this notice and after dealing with them for over 6 weeks, I was notified on July 21, 2022 that they would not be honoring their contract and that my service with them was cancelled effective July 14, 2022. I have a copy of the original contract which I offered to send to them showing the dates set forth in it. They said they can see that letter but they were not going to honor it. I have been a loyal customer for over a year and have made ZERO late payments and have paid my bill in full every month. And yet there was no effort on their part to want to keep me as a loyal customer. All I asked for was for them to honor the contract, which basically means honoring the agreed-upon rate for an additional 8 weeks. But they refused. Very unprofessional and unethical. Please consider these events as you make your decision to go with NEXTera - and I urge you to continue looking elsewhere. As an aside, had I not been paying attention to the letters they sent me, they were going to increase my rate from $0.070 per kWh to $0.211 per kWh!! That represents an increase of over 300%! And I am certain they hope many customers on their plans ignore their letters and get hit with these exorbitant rate increases. Consumer beware! |

Company is a complete rip-off, Charing very high prices....Seek other company.
I signed up with this company during a promotion price, when period was over I was charged very very high ridiculous rates. Company was called to request that services be canceled immediately, which was not done as requested and I was charged another high bill. In one month period this company charged me a bill of over $600.00. Do not sign up with this company, they are dishonest and will not honor anything you request. Terrible, Terrible company...Do not do any business with this company....A BIG RIP-OFF. |

Incredibly disappointing and predatory
I live in a rural part of PA and have had trouble with mail thieves in my area. Due to this, the letter apparently warning me of my contract ending was either lost or stolen. (Excuse me for dealing with COVID, loss of job and multiple hospital stays and trying to keep track of arbitrary contract dates...it was an honest mistake to not have it written on my calendar.) When I called to fix this problem, it was as if I was talking to a wall. No matter how I asked for help to fix the ridiculous overcharge, I was met with the same robotic response that they could not do anything to fix it, even though if this magic piece of paper had made it to me, then I wouldn't have been charged more than double my regular rate. No matter how much I stated that I did not receive notice, the woman continued to state over and over again that I was sent the letter. It was as if she wasn't even listening to me. Then I was told that I was welcome to go somewhere else for my energy service, and that I should make arrangements with my post office if there are issues with my mail and that I couldn't talk to her supervisor because she was on vacation but I was welcome to email the general email (custserv@nexteraenergyservices.com) with attention to her boss to get in contact with her. What is the point of this company when they don't seem to care about keeping their customers, or helping them fix problems in a good faith effort to show they care? Even giving a curtesy call (EVEN AN AUTOMATED WARNING CALL THAT LEAVES A VM, especially since the USPS has not been the greatest lately) That during a pandemic they are ok with doubley charging a customer because we are just numbers to them and basically telling them "too bad" when they ask for help is shameful. Especially when that customer had all intentions of continuing business with them for many years to come. (no longer the case of course) Bottomline: Go somewhere else if you want to actually feel like a human being OR make arrangements with the mail thieves in your area so that they don't make you miss an important deadline and hence be charged over $100 more than your normal bill. |

Beware. Not an honorable company
My experience with NextEra Energy Services and their customer support was very disappointing. I have a dated email from PPL stating that I had signed up for service at a designated rate, but the customer support representative did not care. I was told repeatedly that they understood why I was disappointed but they could not correct the overcharged bill. After the customer service person was tired of talking to me, i was told to email them about my disputed charges. I have not received a response. Beware of NextEra Energy. In my experience, they are not willing to correct errors. I would look at other suppliers that are highly rated and hopefully have better dispute resolution. NextEra is making me jump through hoops and I don't feel there is much hope to resolve my billing issue. |

Beware - price triples after contract term
Signed up for a 3 month contract at 0.0479 (price-to-compare around 0.075). Got a notice that at the end of the contract price will jump to 0.149. Not deceptive in that everything is clearly spelled out in the fine print, but disappointingly predatory. Not a company you can trust. |

Don't honor their contract
I signed up with them for a rate of .0547 and no monthly fee. I have the contract in my hand and sent it to them because they didn't have it. They charged me a lot more than the contract price and charged me a $9.95 monthly fee. They told me that they'd look into my contract but never did -- 6 weeks went by and not a word from them. Stay away. |

Be careful, price doubles after term
It was all fine and good during the 12 month promotion. Right after my term ended, the price doubled. Look at their month to month rates over the last couple years and they stay above 12 cents kWh. Of course they don't mention that when you sign up. The whole model is based people not catching when their initial term expires so they can double the price. Luckily I caught it after a few months, but I still overpaid by several hundred dollars. |

This company basically charges double the price for energy than Met-Ed, unfortunately I wasn't aware until a friend told me to compare rates. I've thrown away thousands of dollars away to these guys over the last 3 years without even knowing. it |
