Price Gouging and Missed a GAS LEAK!

  Aside from our heating bill being upwards of $1000 this winter due to a 55% service fee that the website cannot seem to explain, they missed a GAS LEAK in our home. I called UGI and reported a gas leak due to the distinct smell of gas. An employee came out with a device and said, Nope, no gas. We felt relieved and assumed maybe it was a sewage gas smell so called a plumber which took weeks to show up. Plumber walked in and said, You have a gas leak. He found it that day coming from the attic. We were breathing in gas for weeks! UGI cant even provide the service of protecting us from gas leaks..what is this 55% service fee? People shouldnt need assistance programs to pay their gas/electric bill. UGI has proven to be reckless and irresponsible with the lives and finances of their customers.

Can't reach them

  I've been trying to reach them for two days to make arrangements for upgrades for my electrician. They won't answer the phone or call back.

The wait times are hours long and even when someone answers, they bump you to someone else with yet another 2-4 hour wait.

I'm used to bad service these days, but this terrible company takes it to a new, lower level

Absolute scam

  My whole city opted us into this scam, which breaks your bill up into a bunch of intentionally complicated line items, and tries to make it look like it makes sense that your bill doubled. You have no recourse for what you've already been billed, and they are conveniently hard to reach (only a number to call with ridiculous hold times) and calling it will get you nowhere. Everyone responsible for this being allowed to exist should be sued into bankruptcy, but somehow this is legal. Opt out as soon as you possibly can.

Large salesmen try to bully you to sign up

  A large man shows up acting real polite even tho I told him I wasn't interested in putting leased solar panels on my roof. After he realized I wasn't going to sign, he got pushy and saying things that I wasn't happy with. He showed up on a private road, uninvited.

  I signed this up at Sam's Club and the representative did not tell me that the prices would go so high after a period of time and it seems that was part of the long agreement we signed. He just mentioned my electricity prices would be always lower than the the prices I used to pay, if I use the same amount of electricity.

Too expensive and customer service is terrible

  Pricing is crazy for direct energy, I am currently waiting for my plan to end so I can switch and so are my parents. They are over priced and the customer service that they have are so rude. When I first got with direct they were great, but now they are horrible all the way around. I do not recommend signing up for their services.
